R-2 Contractors is looking for a dedicated and experienced Small Engine Tech/Fabricator to join our growing team. This exciting opportunity will allow you to contribute to our continued success with a company that values integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain small engines
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tune-ups, and part replacements
• Troubleshoot mechanical, fuel, and electrical system issues
• Operate shop equipment such as grinders, welders, and cutting tools
• Fabricate or modify components using basic welding and metalworking techniques
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and technical drawings
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Track work performed and parts used through basic documentation or work orders
• Assist with shop organization, inventory, and tool upkeep

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with small engines and mechanical systems
• Basic welding, cutting, and metal fabrication skills
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Comfortable working in a shop or outdoor environment
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Safety-conscious with attention to detail
